Originally from Regensburg, Dr. Anna Weger has been living and working in Munich for several years.

Her works are composed from a hand-mixed material that combines mineral powders, organic binders, and natural earths. Brass and resin are occasionally integrated as contrasting elements, introducing a subtle tension between permanence and fluidity. Layers of spray paint and highly pigmented colors enrich the surface, creating a tactile, multi-dimensional visual language.

The process of shaping diverse structures, working on large surfaces by hand, and intuitively engaging with materials is, for her, a form of inner balance. Rather than following a predetermined concept, she allows herself to be guided by the moment—giving rise to unexpected forms that gradually reveal their character through texture, light and shadow. This sense of lightness and spontaneity is carried into the finished pieces themselves.

Her background as an orthodontist has significantly influenced her relationship with materials. Substances long familiar through her medical profession find new expression in her artistic work. Their familiarity grants her a unique confidence and freedom in their use—while simultaneously opening up new and surprising perspectives.
